Hey Everyone!
I just want to start off by saying thanks to everyone who took
the time out to apply for the Advisory Council. While we totally
appreciate and enjoyed reading your application, we could not
accommodate everyone. So, here is the final list of the seven people
who were chosen for the Advisory Council for 2004-5. (in random
order):
- Julia Tse
- Mae Fang
- Susan A
- Nina Ma
- Amy Yee
- Celeste Ho
- Amy Leung
Congratulations guys! Our first meeting will be next week where we
will talk about our club's financial issues and figure out exactly
which shows we will be watching in the next few months. Okay, I look
forward to working with you guys!
Second thing, since we just saw Bombay Dreams, the next thing on
our agenda is to publish our MNB. Writers and editors: here are your
jobs.
Mae Fang — editor
Nina Ma — editor
Julia Tse — editor
Christine Lai — costume and set (+review)
Susan A — music (+review)
Julie Liao — history
Amy Leung — cast
Amy Yee — plot
For those of you who saw the show, I expect a little review from you!!
All right, if you have any questions, ideas, any kind of input for
this issue of the MNB, please feel free to e-mail us! I need these
pieces of writing Monday, December 20th. This way, the editors can
take them home and edit them over the winter break and we can get this
issue out before the New Year. Okay, later!

For those of you who did not come see Bombay Dreams, it was a blast! The actors (one of which came to visit Stuy last week) were very hot (editors note: assuming you are female), the music was to die for, and it was just a wonderful experience. So, as many of the members know, after each show that we watch, we publish a new edition of the MNB. Those of you who are interested in writing for the MNB please send an e-mail to stuybroadwayclub@yahoo.com before the end of the month. Also, every member who saw the show should submit a short review.
Since this is the last year for many of the members of the club, we have a very busy schedule of Broadway Shows planned for 2005. Some of the shows lined up for next year include: Brooklyn the Musical, Hairspray, The Lion King, Mama Mia, Wicked, Dracula, and the Producers. We will send out e-mails about each individual show when we get the information. Also, anyone interested in seeing Hairspray should e-mail us to reserve your ticket.
If you have not already done so, please join the yahoo group. There are many perks to joining the group, including being able to vote on various topics especially which shows you want to see.
Finally, the decisions for the new members of the Advisory Council will come out next week. For those of you who applied, good luck!
