Lisa and Brian--June 28th 2003Sometimes, when we least expect it, something wonderful happens. One day, Brian wanted to get home from UW-Eau Claire because Eau Claire is sort of a God-forsaken place, and he called a girl whose name appeared on the ride board on campus. She wanted a ride on Thursday night, but Brian wanted to leave early Wednesday. Because her voice sounded so friendly, however, Brian waited around and hoped for the best. Lisa remembered to make herself look pretty before class that night, just in case. Two years later, they were engaged to be married.It's true that Brian and Lisa enjoy doing many activities together. Lisa made Brian go apple picking this past fall and Brian made Lisa go find something else to do while he watched a Packers game. Isn't it wonderful when two people can have so much in common? Both Lisa and Brian understand that hard work is important. Well, Brian understands this a little less than does Lisa. He is currently teaching English at Menomonee Falls High School. Lisa is getting her certification to teach English as well, after having earned a degree in Journalism. Expect good spelt x-mas cards!
