I am Ana Machado, professional dancer, choreographer and dance instructor for Latin dances - performance and nightclub style Salsa ("on one" and "on two"), Cuban Casino Rueda, Afro-Cuban and modern.
Choosing the professional dancing career when I was 6 years old, I eventually joined the National Academy of Dance (Escuela Nacional de la Danza), a prestigious and world-renowned 8-year program in my hometown of Havana, Cuba. There I successfully studied and graduated in Modern Dance, Ballet, Afro-Cuban and other folk dances (Afro Cuban) of my native country, as well as traditional and modern Latin social dances like Danzon, Rumba, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Son, and Salsa. After graduation, I started my professional career with the prestigious Compania de la Danza Moderna and continued as the lead dancer in famous Tropicana dance troupe, with which I travelled all around the world. In 1990, I settled in Toronto, where I've been professionally dancing and teaching Salsa and Afrocuban dances since.
Group classes I teach at BaBaLuu and Lula Lounge. Private classes - Salsa, Afro Cuban or other Latin dances - I teach at my Davisville Ave. studio. I've been very active in promoting Salsa and introducing it to high school students. I introduced Salsa to more than 1000 students at schools like Downsview Collegiate, Cedarbrae, Earl Haig Collegiate, Humber College and others.

Individual (private) classes: Salsa or other nightclub Latin - $60.00 for one hour class (Salsa or other nightclub Latin for two people: $80.00)
Afro-Cuban (private) classes: $75.00 for one hour class (Afro Cuban for two people: $100.00)
