Library Girl
(by SLC Library Boy)
I was browsing at the Library
Looking at books and DVDs
When I had to stop and stare
‘Cause I saw you working there
Library girl, library girl
I’m checking you out, library girl
You were a mystery with intriguing clues
I couldn’t help but give rave reviews
I was going to get in line
But you looked up and your eyes met mine
Library girl…
I don’t want to look like I’m stalking you
Holding a book, but watching you
But if you didn’t want me to
You wouldn’t watch back the way you do
You renew my anticipation
Of getting you out of circulation
When you smile and give me the look
That says you want to stamp my book
Library girl…
I need some help on where to start
To find the call number to your heart
I want to take you home
And keep you on permanent loan
Library girl…
Maybe it’s just infatuation
With a cute, young, smart, hip librarian
But some say fiction comes true
And this book reads “I love you.”
