Unity Winter Ensembe is looking foward to yet another wonderful year of winter guard. We hope that you get the opportunity to check us out at one of our many shows this season. We especially encourage you to come to one of our "Friends and Family Show" at Elkton High School. This year, we are performing to Coldplay's "Trouble" from their CD "Parachutes." This show is filled with lots of breath and grace and we are looking forward to stepping up to this new challenge. Winter Guard captain for the 2004-5 season is Jessica Roberts, a senior from McKean High School. Jessica has been a member of Unity Winter Ensemble for the past three years and is looking forward to marching her last year of high school with us! She (as well as the rest of our seniors) are especially looking forward to a repeat "cinderella" season. Maybe this year, we'll bring home 3 medals! Section leader for this season is Lisa Clark, a junior at Elkton High School. Lisa has been with Unity since she came to Elkton High School and is looking forward to helping Jessica guide this team to the highest level of excellence yet.
The Staff for the 2004-5 season has grown considerably since last year. Mary Pierce has been the Director of Unity Winter Ensemble for the past 6 years. The Assistant Director is Janine Scherr. The instructional staff includes Jennifer Wagner and Melissa Wagner. Technicians include Sarah Brooks and Lauren Meriano. Visual Ensemble Consultant is Brian Cass. Fundraising Coordinator is Judi Migliore.
Thank you to all the parents and floor crew for their never-ending support of the program. Without you, none of this would be possible. Thank you to Elkton High School for the use of their facilities. Thank you Mr. Cook of Brandywine Springs Elementary School for your flexibility and understanding in our time of need. Thank you to Scott McCullough, Elkton High School Band Director and Vince Adkins, McKean High School Band Director for their support of the program and their flexibility with our schedules.
