Tape Deck Sonata hails from South St. Louis and have been together since late 2004. The band includes former members of Junkart (St. Louis Local Band) and #2 Pencils (St. Louis Local Band). We are a five piece with two guitars, a bass, vocals, and drums. Our influences range from the Sex Pistols to The Pixies to Rage Against the Machine. When performing we are a band that likes to have fun and interact with our fans during a performance to try to make them feel like they are part of the show. Venues that we have played around town include Lemons, The Way Out Club, Radio Cherokee, The Hi-Pointe, and The Red Sea. Some of songs have also been played on local radio including 105.7 The Point’s Local Show.
