My Name is Stevi Leigh Kabbeko. I was born in Atlantic City. I started singing around the house when I was a little girl about the same time I started to talk. So as far as I can remember I was LaLaLa-ing. I guess it’s safe to say I was born subconsciously knowing that one day I would be a star. I started dance classes at the age of three and continued until I was thirteen. I started singing under instruction at the age of eight with a lady by the name of Judy Mascara in east Vineland. She helped my confidence and showed me love and dedication. She and her husband Tony Mascara, Held recitals for all of her students to obtain the experience of getting in front of people. When I was thirteen I had to make a decision between dancing that I loved so much and singing that I loved even more. I chose to sing. I loved the feeling of acceptance I got from it and it always made me feel better. It was something that was mine, some thing that God blessed me with and something that nobody could take away. When I was fourteen just about to go to high school I came home to find a message from my Grand mom Eleanor Saying that she had read an article about a young girl going to Broadway under the instruction of Sal Dupree. So Feeling it was time to move up in the instruction level and meet more people my mom and I called him right away and jumped on the first audition we could. Yesss! I got in. I have been with Sal For Seven years now and don’t think I’ll ever let him go. He was wonderful. In all of my years of singing I’ve performed so many places. County fairs; Church fairs; Recitals; Birthday parties; Pageants; Diabetes Telethons in Atlantic city; The World Championships in California; Funerals; Baby showers; Weddings; Private Parties; Giuseppe’s in Franklinville; The Root Cellar in Dorothy; The Italian bistro; Buena High school; D’Ippolto Intermediate school; Smithville; Krogh’s in North Jersey; Downtime in Manhattan; Adelphia’s in Deptford; Memories Lounge in Richland; Competitions; The Buena Tavern; Caesars casino; Gladiator bar; The sand bar in Atlantic city; The Bolero In Wildwood; Westy’s in Wildwood; The Atlantic city Boardwalk; and many more. After graduating from Buena Regional High School I moved up north and I attended Sussex community college I practiced hard core searched for contacts and gigs. I there was training to be a champion at what I do. I learned people skills, business, discipline and dedication. I put school on hold after the first year with having to handle being away from home, all of the assignments, hard work and long hours, The three hours of working out a day, the constant driving back and forth to the studios, coming home late from sessions, writing music, learning how to play, Help taking care of a house, and still making time for my Family, it was hard to focus on what I wanted most in life. My career my music my life. After that year I moved home, keeping in mind I am still gigging anywhere I can, I felt uncomfortable with my present producer at that time. Things were going sour, inappropriate comments were being made and I was being provoked to fall into a negative provocative image and Fall I would not. I spoke out about what direction this producer was trying to sell me and decided to let him go almost Ten thousand dollars now into production. I was raised better than that. So My Mom and I just kept faith of the Lord and kept praying we never let anything stop my dream and her dedication to me. Sure enough the Lord answered our prayers once again and sent me to Ralph Deal Who introduced me also to Jamie Myerson who both collaborated and produced my Album STEVI Sexy Is A Secret with me. They are wonderful. They made this experience Magical. My Family has been there for me through all these years and are helping so much. I am in promotion mode right now and give thanks in advance to anyone who helps along the way. Little local girl Seeks Big Dream to come true. That’s where I am at now, perusing my dreams to make a dent in society, to touch people with my music, to set a good example and most of all to use the Talent that god has blessed me with. Don’t ever let your talent go to waist! “Live today but Dream about tomorrow” GOD BLESS |
