Eight Down, Twenty-Two To Go

Ewww, that "22 to go" part sounds daunting, so I'll just go with the "eight down" part!

Two weeks, eight pounds!  I'm a happy camper.  Turns out the restaurant we wanted to go to had an hour and a half wait - at three o'clock in the afternoon!!! So we moved on to somewhere else and had a nice big salad (with grilled chicken).

Also - when I got there I found out my friend I was staying with was on the same 'eating plan' that I am so she had all the right foods and sticking to it was really easy.

So, this morning, after two full weeks, I am down eight pounds.  My next big trip is the first week of April (March 29-April 4) so I have about six more weeks to work hard and get in shape.  If I can keep going at 3 lbs a week that'll almost get me my "22 to go"!

Whew!

Finally!  Another pound lost.  I was beginning to think five was all I was gonna lose.  Today I was down another pound.  I've really been very good, sticking right to my new eating plan, so I was getting really worried at not losing.

But .... tomorrow I take a friend to lunch for a belated birthday celebration.  She picked this restaurant.  www.lovelesscafe.com  It is going to be really hard to stick to it with that menu!

Big Changes

Ok - it's gonna require BIG changes in my way of eating .... but I've gotten to the point where I just feel miserable lately.  Over the holidays (from Thanksgiving to New Years) everone was bringing food to work - and my mom was cooking all kinds of goodies - and I of course had to try everyone of them - and I gained almost 20 pounds in those six weeks!!!! 

So I started a new "eating plan" recently (I dont call it a diet, because it's a lifestyle change, not a temporary thing) and so far I've lost five pounds.  Only 25 more to go.  (The 20 I gained plus ten I've been needing to lose for about three years). I'll keep you posted on the progress via my brand new weghtloss ticker I just found online. (I think having to "report in" to y'all will keep me on track). Cool 

This thing is supposed to update when I enter the new data on the master screen (I have this posted in a few places and it should update them all at once) so if you check back here it may be different (I hope it will) but as of today (Feb 8,) I've lost 5 of the 30.
