Birmingham Alabama Regional Workshop
Next Meeting: Aug 28, 2006 - 6pm
Location:
Moonlight Music Cafe
NOTE: We will not meet in July. Please have a safe and happy
summer holiday, and join us for our next meeting on Aug 28th!

Recap of meeting on June 5, 2006:

Thanks to all who attended in June for a fun meeting! Here's a recap:

In response to a question, Donna started the meeting explaining the different ways songwriters can try and play at the Bluebird Café in Nashville. she talked about Open Mic nights and the Sunday Writer's Night, and how being an NSAI member can allow out-of-town members to audition for the Sunday night shows. She also talked about the audition process for Sunday nights, and how songwriters are scored to determine whether they'll be able to go back to perform at the Bluebird.

We then went on to discuss Jason Blume's lecture *Tools for Successful Lyric Writing.*

At the end of the meeting, we critiqued three songs.

We will take the month of July off, and meet again in August! Mark your calendars for August 28th, 6pm at the Moonlight. Come join us!

Please, come and bring all your songwriting friends.
