Ms. Tamara V. Trutwin
Ms. Trutwin has been a teacher for the 10 years. Her educational background includes a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Vandercook College of Music, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Business from Columbia College, and a Masters Degree in Music Education from Vandercook College of Music.

Ms. Trutwin is a native of Michigan and has taught Band in Illinois, Indiana, and Oregan. She has also worked in Toronto, Canada in the Music Publicity Industry and as a performing musician and vocalist. Most recently, Ms. Trutwin was the Director of Admissions and Student Recruitment at Vandercook College music.
This is Ms. Trutwins' first year at Curie High School(2005). She is very excited to be part of the Curie family and looks forward to working with everyone in the Band program.
GRADES OFFERED: 11-12
PREREQUISITES: Intermediate Band and/or audition
CREDIT: 2 (Double period)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Display advanced technique, musicianship, and repertoire at concerts, parades, festivals, contests, including possible overnight concert tours. Maintain an active schedule with frequent after-school practice and evening performances. (Selected students will perform with the orchestra.)
