ABOUT THE KURT COBAIN CASE

April 8, 1994....What's so significant about that date? That's the day Kurt Cobain was found dead in his greenhouse from according to MTV's Kurt Loder, "an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound..." that date is also significant in another way. It was also the day that the Kurt Cobain Investigation began. It started out what seemed like routinely, but to the trained eye, and hard work of Investigator Tom Grant, it was found that it was far from routine. Tom was hired by Courtney Love, Kurt's wife, to find Kurt after he had escaped from a drug rehab he had been attending. He is considered "the founder" of the Kurt Cobain Murder Investigation, and is probably the person who has uncovered the most information about the various inconsistencies in the investigation, due to his unique first-hand knowledge. Some of the various inconsistencies uncovered in the investigation are:

1. It is well known fact that Kurt Cobain was a heroin addict. When he was autopsied, it was found that he had injected 1.52 mg/L of heroin in his system, at the time of his death. This is more than three times the lethal limit. But, yet Kurt still had time to take the needle out of his arm, put it in his kit, close the lid, and put the shotgun to his head and pull the trigger. Kurt would've been incapacitated almost immediately after injecting the heroin, and would've been unconscious before he could've pulled the needle out of his arm.

2. The alleged "suicide note" that was made famous when Courtney Love read it aloud on MTV, may not have been a suicide note at all, but a goodbye note to his fans that he was leaving the music business. The note don't read like a suicide note, it has no mention of leaving this world. There is also evidence that the last four or so lines of the note were added after the main part of the note was. The handwriting patterns on the note are from two different people, suggesting that someone else added to the note, before it was found.

3. There were no legible fingerprints on the gun, indicating that they had been wiped off previous to the gun being found.

4. Someone was attempting to use his credit card between the time that the coroner had established his time of death and when the body was found which was around four days.

5. When the police originally began the investigation it was started as a homicide, not a suicide, which is what it should've been started as, given the first impression at the scene. through further investigation, it would've been found that it was a murder, and then could've been pursued as one.

There are many other reasons that this case needs to be reopened, many which are listed at some of the sites to the left. Please take the time to visit these sites so you can get the whole story, and then you can decide to download the petition.
