Awesomeness
Well, to get this started, our biggest news is probaly our show coming up on April 15th, which will be for lisa self. This is St. John's last show, so let's give it one to remember. In other news, we also got a new(used) PA system. Not the best, but hell it works. We are also still working on some of our songs and covers, this show should hopefully have a better turn out than last time. Sometime after the show we will be getting recording done. A small demo maybe 6 tracks, so be prepared for that. So pretty much that's it, if you want to know the songs we are doing check the songs page on the site, if you havn't heard them i suggest you listen, they are great. Alright well, that's all for now. Ello Ello everyone,
yea its me Andrew.... well you knwo how we always talk about how we want to be heavy and all..... well its happening..... Me and Barry have dropped our guitar/ bass.... to drop C sharp and sometimes drop c..... were tryin to make it heavy... so I (Andrew) now can do harmonics... thats right i said it.... and now there going to be put into our songs..... toms drumming is improving alot.... his double bass is getting sick.....
!!!!Now we have said something before about a EP comming out... well its true... Day Of darkness is putting there best material together and putting it on a cd!!!! we dont have a name for it yet... and we dont knwo the number of songs.... but its should be out at the lastest Beginning of summer....

yo..... ok first of all... we sucked... but if people think we did good its ok... but if you compared the practice tape to the show... practice was alot better...... well i would liek to congraulate all the other bands... they did amamzing.... yea and thanks to ACTE for lettin all of us use the PA system and other assorted things... and a shout out to MIKE NOEL we love you..... ok
in other news.... DAY OF DARKNESS has aquired a new rythem guitarest in place of sean ryan.... MIKE CROFT yes yes... we will be breaking him in .... and just get some songs down before we play another show.... ok peace out everyone

Joe Martin, Jake Roman, and Shawn (dont knnow his last name... sorry shawn)... well their band... "After the Suffering"... will be FRIGIN PLAYING SIDE BY SIDE WITH DAY OF DARKNESS!!!!! its gona be sooooooooo sick.... i cant wait... and we have Joe martin guest vocaling in one of our songs.... ok i just needed to tell everyone that AFTER THE SUFFERING will be playing at the show.... Hello, another week gone by and a very cool week it has been. First off we have a show now, Jan. 28th at St. John Cantius. It's going to be a battle of the bands so i hope everyone comes out and shows their DoD spirit! We'll give you all the info on our shows page when we find it out. Plans Ahead

well christmas kicked ass...for one... i got a digital 8-track recorder..... you know what that means.... EP!!! Day of Darkness is putting there songs together on a EP... so get ready for it bitches... also Tom d. (Drummer) got a double bass pedal so thats sick... Barry (bassist/vocals) got a effect pedal for his bass... there is gona be some sick bass lines now... we also got 3 new mics... but only one has a cord... we have 4 all together... but we only have 2 stands and 2 cords... and we need a PA system .... so if you would like to contribute to Day of Darkness... please dont hold back on tips and buying of our merchendice (none yet but soon we will have stickers and a EP) ok well im gona stop talking because people probly dont even read this news site anyway... the skip right to the guestbook lol.. im done talking.. later dudes

Happy Christmas, Merry New Year!
Hello, everyone. It's been two weeks since there's been an update, so I thought I'd better let all of you know what's going on. Well we didnt get much practice time in since the holidays and the whole family visiting stuff, so not much is new with our music, however, we do have alot more lyrics written, so I guess that is good. I think I may start updating this thing weekly now, since I know all of you are so eager to hear what's going on. And on another note, I wanted to let everyone know that they can post comments on the news which I think is a good way to let us know what you have to think about the band and how we are taking things. Since we care about our fans we want to know how you think we are running things. Also we want to know if people even read the news. A Very Fine Weekend
Well as you may of heard Barry and Andrew went to see Trivium, The Autum Offering, 40 Below Summer, and Ill Nino on friday night. Woah, what a night that was! First off the perfomance was amazing! The pit was crazy says andrew who was in it the entire time. After Trivium played the most amazing thing happened. We met the bassit Paulo on the side of the crowd. After we hung out with him for awhile we met guitarist/lead vocals MATT HEAFY! We hung out, got pictures, autographs, and of course memories that would last forever. Then after awhile we met up with the rest of the band, and some other from the other bands that were playing. We watched the other bands for a bit while hanging out with some of the band members. After awhile Paulo said to meet them out back, so of course we go and we chill for alot longer, discuss some conversations about sissy emo kids :), and got some tips from our idols! What a night, not to mention the boobs we saw! Andrew's brother matt cought travis' drumstick (drummer of trivium) and Jake caught Matt Heafy's pick, which just so happens to be the same exact kind andrew uses (who cares though)((he made me write that)). After hanging out in the backally with the bands, the pothead, and the drunk bums, we sadly had to go. Sat night was boring, and sunday it snowed so that rocked. Alright well as you may or may not have noticed, there have been some big changes done to this site. For instance instead of having the news all mushed together we now have a neater way of doing it. Also navigation around the site should be alot easier with the addition of the links back to the homepage on the bottom of every page. We also added alot more pages to the site itself, including pictures. As you can see alot of work has been done to make this site better. But now instead of talking about the site let's talk about how the band itself is going. Ok, so we have a few songs down. It's been hard getting together for practices so we're not making much progress, and with school and homework it only makes things harder. But don't fear for we will be ready for some shows soon I promise you. Thanks for taking the time to read this, if you have time please stop and look around the site and see what we've added.
