Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I just moved into a new house and I don't have internet connection yet. We still haven't gotten recording done and there are no shows on the horizon as of yet. We will keep you posted though! We love you very very very very very much. Happy birthday everyone. ¿Kameron¿
We are turning into a real band! We now have shirts for sale. You should all come out to the show tomorrow and purchase one of the wonderful shirts! We found out today that the show is ALL AGES and starts at 5 PM SHARP! Be there early and check out everyone that is rocking! I love you all. ^Kameron^
Well, the results are in and we don't get to play on the opening stage for Taste of Chaos. Thanks to everyone who voted for us though. Big ups to you all.
Also, very pleased to announce that the show at The Roadhouse is ALL AGES! If you need directions, give us a holler! %Kameron%
LOTS OF NEWS! First off, the shows this weekend were great. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to see the shows, the bands that rocked us all, and the venues that support local music. Those two shows really reminded me of why I am in a band. We are currently booking a couple more shows for this month so keep checking back with us.
BIGGER NEWS! If you are on myspace, please go to the taste of chaos page and vote for Colour of Mourning to be an opener for the show in Des Moines on March 16. If you don't have a myspace account, sign up!!! It's really a good time and a great way to waste your life. www.myspace.com/tasteofchaos
We will be having some more news for you soon so keep hitting this page! $Kameron$
Hey everyone! We are still waiting on the recording. We had a couple of tracks down and then the computer died. We will be working hard on getting it done! Also, there are three shows coming up and you suck if you aren't at all three of them! Come out, rock, support local music, and punch our bass player in the face if you feel like it. I heard a rumor that he likes it rough. Peace out! @Kameron@
So the show the other night was a blast. Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting local music and a great cause. We started recording yesterday but then the computer that was running the whole sha-bang decided to do the fun crap out. Hopefully everything will be back up and running soon. We have a couple of shows lined up. One for sure and one a strong possibility. Keep checking back to see! Also, check us out on Myspace. You can even be our friend! www.myspace.com/colourofmourning
Happy New Year and all of that fun stuff. I hope you all had a great New Year's Eve and didn't get too sauced up. Wow. Last week was a blast. The show at House of Bricks was amazing even though we played like crap. We made enough money to record again! Woo hoo for us! The next day we played to an awesome hometown crowd at Rat'lers. Now I am trying to get some information on upcoming shows for all of you. More news on that soon. We may also have a summer tour lined up soon. Kepp checking back! We also have a MY SPACE page now. I will double check on the address and then post it on here. Have a good one. May your new year suck just as much as last year did. *KAMERON*
Aloha kiddies! Merry Christmas! Lots of news to share with y'all. First off, there has been a line up change in the band. Michael has decided to leave the band (he is still very sexy and dangerous though) and Matt Handley (aka Denevere McShane) has replaced him on bass. We are currently teaching Matt all of the songs and even writing new ones. We do have some shows coming up and we would love it if everyone in the world showed up to watch us rock out. I will be updating more from now on as it looks like there will be a lot to report soon! I love you all and have a great Kwanza. *Kameron*
Hey kids! Hope everyone got out and voted yesterday. If you can, you should. Also, the show last Friday was great! Thanks to all of the people who showed up to support Skinn Section and ourselves. You all rule. Hopefully since the turnout was good and we played well, more shows will be coming up soon. I just made a page for old news updates so you can see what's happened with the band in the last few months without having to scroll down on this page for two years. This should help tidy things up a bit. Thanks for stopping by and hopefully we will have some news on shows soon!
I'm back! Okay, we finally got a show lined up on kind of short notice. It will be Friday, October, 29 at Rat'lers bar in Marshalltown. Unfortunatly it is a 21 and over age show. If you are of legal drinking age and feel like having some drinks and listening to Colour of Mourning and Skinn Section rock out, stop by at about 8 pm and check us out. LATER!
WOW! Two updates in two days?! I must be getting motivated or something. Anyway, I posted the picture page today so that everyone can see how sexy we looked when we were burning the film for our promotional pictures. I may just get motivated and post some pictures from shows in the next few days as well. Stay tuned.
Sorry for not updating lately. We have been practicing on a regular basis and have some new songs for y'all. There are a few shows that we have a line on but I decided not to post them until everything gets finalized. Keep checking back for updates. Josh and I both changed our bio pages today so if you have som time to kill and feel like reading a couple of funny stories, check those pages out. Also, there are some new pics on the page and I will be making more pic pages soon. Keep the faith!
We have some great news! The band heard back from Affinity Music (the people we played the showcase for) lastnight. We were told that there were a few labels interested in the band. Not only that, but Colour of Mourning may be making a few appearences in Europe in the near future to play some shows. That is wonderful! Keep stopping back here for more updates! Woo-hoo
The showcase in Tennessee went very well. We played our newest song "Not on Rex Manning Day" and it was very well received. We will know more on what everyone thought sometime today.
Switching subjects, WE NEED SHOWS! If you have a place where we can play, we would love to set up a show for your place. If you know of anywhere that we could throw a show, we would love to set up a show there! Also, if you are setting up a show, we would love to play it! Just give a shout at our email address if you want us to play or know of a good place to throw a show. colourofmourning@yahoo.com
The show lastnight at The House of Bricks went great! We had a good turn out and played a fun set. Thanks to Cousin Chewey and Deimos for playing and thanks to The House of Bricks for giving us all a great place to play. Most of all though, thanks to all of the kids from Marshalltown and elsewhere for making the trek to come and see us play. You're awesome!
We will give you an update on what happens in Tennessee this weekend as soon as we get home.
BIG NEWS FROM THE COLOUR OF MOURNING WORLD! We are going to be making the long trek to Nashville to play at a showcase. We are going to be playing one new song there that you can hear if you come to our show at the House Of Bricks on September 12. The showcase is being held on September 18. Hopefully everyone there will like what they hear and we can come back to you with more good news after that.
On the web site front, I just got done posting the pictures on all of the bio pages. I am going to be working on getting a band pic page set up soon with pictures from all of our shows so far. Thanks for stopping by and keep checking back for more updates.
All of the bio pages are now done. We are currently looking to book some more shows and more bands to play shows with. If you know of anyone who can help us out or wants to play shows, let us know! Our e-mail address is at the bottome of the page. Check back soon!
You can check out a couple tracks from Colour of Mourning on Pure Volume! Just click the link below that says, "MUSIC" and then, enjoy.
