DIPLOMA IT PRACTITIONERS (City & Guilds 7262)

This is an exciting new course for women who have an interest in becoming technicians (and possibly supporting systems in hospitals, schools, industry, offices etc), website designers or computer aided designers. Recognised qualifications and certificates are awarded on completion. This is a full time (under 16 hours), one year course with limited part time options and family friendly hours.

Successful students can progress on to higher level courses or into employment.

ATTENDANCE
3 days a week (full time, under 16 hours). Part time options vary from half days to two days a week.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
The Diploma in Systems for IT Practitioners (City & Guilds 7262)
Maintaining Computers and Systems
Customer Support and Provision
System Testing
Networking

The following units are available separately:
Web Page Design (C&G)
AutoCAD (C&G)
Electronics (BTEC unit)

Part time options are available for the above (day time).
Students will also have the chance to gain a certificate in Personal Development Skills or Key Skills.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Most subjects are assessed by a combination of practical assignments and multiple-choice tests.

WHAT NEXT?
On completion, students will be able to progress on to more advanced courses in their chosen subject area, or into employment.
