The
New York Central System
As a youngster growing up 2 blocks from the New York Central
Airline Junction switch yard, I spent
many hours watching the
old steamers switching cars and making up the trains. Then there
was the Twentieth Century Limited that went through around
7 PM. Most day's my buddy and I went
down to see it.
Like most curious youngsters, we had to put coins on the track
to see how thin they would become.

You may have to stop the music on this player.
Take a few minutes and look at some of the old
New York Central work horses.
