Cynthia Stark, tuba, received both a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Master’s degree in tuba performance from DePaul University, in Chicago, where she studied with Floyd Cooley.

She has performed with many Chicago area ensembles including Concertante di Chicago, Elgin Symphony Orchestra, New Philharmonic Orchestra, the Harper Symphony Orchestra, the Nomadic Brass Quintet, the Fanfare Brass Quintet, and the Birch Creek Brass Quintet.

Cyndi has also performed with Redmoon Theater Company, Moosehead Project, the Glenview Theater Guild, the Colorado Springs Symphony Orchestra and is currently active as a freelance musician and teacher in the Chicagoland area.

She and her husband Tom are currently awaiting the birth of their first child. Cyndi is therefore on maternity leave and is currently not playing with the Alloy Arts Ensemble.
