This talented girl as both a beautifull (that's right, not hot or sext, something with true beauty deserves more then your cat calls and derogatory come-ons) in addition to her amazing voice, which I would have to say deserves the most recognition since people recognised it well before puberty, sick-o. Stripped is an amzing CD which shows her ability to pump out up-beat pop hits that hit and stay on the charts, and also some really touching and wonderfull songs where she really shows the true capacity of her voice.
Avril Levigne »
She's got a lot of feeling to her music, but anyone who's ever seen Salt Lake City Punk knows right away that this girl is faking the whole "punk scene", which is fine by me, any idiot who like her music because she looks "punk" can go deal with the ridicule of others and the torment of listening to her whine. I do really like one song by her though, I'm With You from Let Go (just in-case she ever comes out with another CD.
No Doubt »
I would like to establish a differance between No Doubt before and after The Return Of Saturn, not to say that one is better then the other though. The Beacon Street Collection had a lot of excellent punk influenced songs and some very cool tunes with Bradly from Sublime. Self titled turned away from the punk to a more mellow, popular sound, one could also say they sold out. The Return Of Saturn went even further to sell out, it's blatently obvious that their punk sound just wasn't selling enough, but you can't blame them, after all, everyones in it for the money, and I still enjoy all their CD's, just because a sound is different doesn't make it bad. Rock Steady... not really worth it to listen to the whole CD, let alone buy it, but some good songs to download are Hella Good and Underneath It All.
