Tony Dyson (gospel musician)

All about Tony

Tony Dyson was born in Chicago Il. He started playing the organ and piano in church when he was only 13 years old.He had private lessons and studied music formally at the Chicago Conservatory College. Tony has many accomplishments, He has served as minister of music for a number of churches and ministries. He is also a song writer. He has written songs for various gospel artist, such as Rev. Milton Brunson and the Thompson community singers, Venessa Bell Armstrong,Hezekiah Walker,Father Charels G.Hayes and the Cosmopolitan Church Choir, The National Baptist Convention. Albertina Walker etc. he also recieved a Grammy nomination in 1991 for best traditional choir. Tony traveled with Evangelist R.W Shaumbauch from 1991 to 1996 playing the hammond organ and opening the song services for Mega revival services in the USA, South America, Johannesburg, Soweto and other parts of South Africa. He just returned from Europe where he toured with Tina Brown and company. Here he performed in Zuric, Italy, Basil Switzerland and Germany. Though he has ministered in many cities around the world Tony's passion is the local worship service. Currently he is the minister of music for the True Believers baptist church in Chicago Il.
