Tim's Bio

Hey! It's me Tim Sithoumma a.k.a. "Sit2Ma". I'm the bass player and vocalist and I thought i'd tell you a little about myself and how I ended up in the band. First off i'm asian. My mom's from Thailand and my dad's from Laos. They moved here to the states during the late 70's, but that is another story. I was born here in Northern Kentucky along with my other siblings. I was the typical kid growing up. You know the kid who wanted to be a GIJoe or Batman. It wasnt til about 6th grade year when I was about 12 that I started having dreams about playing music. Just to let you know i was into Blink 182 during the time which was my biggest mistake to begin with. You do not want to hear what I have to say about blink182 today. I have no idea what I was thinking at the time. (During that time I was a pretty messed up and confused kid. You wouldnt have recognized me. Believe me just ask Nick) My parents bought me my first bass guitar when I was 13. They thought that playing music would be good for me. I started taking lessons a month later at the Music House in Erlanger from a guy named Rob Slone. I'm still his student to this day. It's been almost 3 years now that I have been playing the bass and I must admit that i have learned and improved so much. I dont think that I would be in a band today if it hadnt been for Wil Talbert. It was our first year as freshman at Holy Cross High School and my first year going to a private school. I didnt know that many people there at first and so I didnt know if there was any other musicians in my classes. Me and Wil had played during some of our schools' masses and it wasnt until he invited me over to his house one day to jam that I realized that a band was taking form. Pretty soon me and Wil were in search of a guitarist. That is when Nathan Price (an old friend of mine from Latonia Elementary) told us about Nick Stepp. A couple of days later we had our first band practice. I had known Nick most of my life from elementary school. It had been years since I last saw him and lets just say we werent exactly close, especially during 7th grade year at Holmes High School. That is also another story. You can ask me or Nick about that later. It wasnt until a couple of practices later that we realized how much both of us had changed over the past years. He is a good guitarist and a really good friend to talk to. So far the band has written and played our own songs and have covered songs. We have alot of fun. We have been together for almost a year now. I always have a blast with these guys. We practice Tuesdays and Thursdays every week in Wils' basement. So far his parents havent kicked us out yet. haha. No they wouldnt do that. The Talberts are too cool. We work hard as a band and soon enough you will get to hear us play play somewhere- hopefully this summer. We still havent agreed officially on a band name yet. But if you have any ideas let us know. All we want is something simple. Well i'm going to stop typing now or i'll end up typing way too much. - later
