How Elvis met Ziggy the Zebra

Once, on an African safari, Elvis and his "Memphis Mafia" were riding around, shooting rhinos and so forth. At one point, Elvis was busy combing his hair when his jeep hit a rock and he went flying out.

After he got up and dusted himself off, Elvis started running after the jeep, hollering for Red to stop and let him back in. He hadn't made 10 yards when he heard a ferocious growl from behind. When he looked back, Elvis found himself staring into the dripping jaws of a lion. It was a King to King showdown!

Well, cool as Elvis was, he knew he was in for a world of hurt; still, he didn't cotton to letting some mangy old beast muss his pompadour any worse than it was already. And just as he got ready for some old fashioned cat wrasslin', a female zebra and her young foal came running by. The lion, not looking too hard for trouble, decided he'd have better odds with them, and he attacked and began devouring the mother in short order.

This filled Elvis with a powerful sadness, so to calm both himself and the young zebra foal a bit, they both popped several pills from Elvis' pharma-suitcase. Thus properly sedated, the King and the foal were shipped back to Graceland. Before long, Elvis began referring to the friendly zebra as Ziggy, after his favorite drug-addled David Bowie persona. They were inseparable from that moment forth.
