A lil' tidbit of information about myself...

I've been interested in music for as long as I can remember, and in 1998 I discovered Dream Theater, which forever changed my view on music theory and practice.

Influences

So there I was, minding my own business on the DT mailing list when somebody mentioned a band with a most peculiar name. See to your left for proof... I downloaded a few tracks and was blown away by their melange of spaciness and foreign types of music. You may be able to hear a bit of their influence in my songs, some more than others. If you've ever wondered what would happen if one band could be a combination of 10 other bands from all over the world, plus being totally out of this world at the same time, this would be it. You could say that those two bands together basically formed my musical environment around me, and this environment still persists. Keep the music alive!

Other Interests

Besides writing, composing and listening to a variety of progressive, psychedelic and ambient artists / projects, I also enjoy both astronomy and astrophysics, education (I recently finished a stint as a full fledged science teacher), computers (gaming, software, hardware, internet stuff, etc). I am a very large fan of fantasy type games and concepts (i.e. Dragonlance books, AD&D games), as they serve to further my already vivid imagination.
