Rubicon1970:I released this show to correct a couple things. First of all the artwork for Blue Sky Party is completely wrong in many ways. 1. Wrong Era pictures are used (frontiers) 2. The show did not take place in chicago, it's East Troy, WI (150 miles if not more away from each other) I also released this show because it sounds a ton better than Blue Sky Party. The tape they used must of been pretty well generated. This show is directly from the master FM tape put to CD. I eq'd it to add some much needed bass. FM broadcasts tend to lack that, so i added some. One annoying part of the show is that Steve Smith's hi hats have an echo or phasing to them. So everytime he hits them, it's almost like a double click. But that's about it. Radio broadcasts are generally (at least back then) not mixed very well, so there is a lot of high end on his drum solo and other parts. This show is VERY listenable though, a nice early set list with songs from Evolution and Departure in there. I left in the announcer cause it brought back memories of listening to a good rock station. Plus i knew the announcer, lived two blocks from my childhood home. There are many versions out there, i hope you like this one.
