Buju Banton Plays at Jamaica Live inside the Cabana Club
The show had been booked at the Cabana Club, later moved to another club and then rebooked at the Cabana Club. I say
the positive will always rule over the negative. And so it was a great night despite the protesters outside.
The show started with two of Buju's backup singers. Angel Shalowe opened and was followed by Nikki Burt. Both artists showcased their talents to the upmost, and gave excellent performances.
Gramps Morgan, lead vocalist and keyboard player for the group Morgan Heritage took the stage next performing songs that included his hit's
"Wash The Tears" and "Come Back To Bed" from his new album, "2 Sides of My Heart - Vol 1". Gramps gave a royal performance as he heated the stage for the large crowd that had gathered at Jamaica Live. Gramps was backed by Buju Banton's Shiloh Band.
Buju Banton took the stage wearing a nice blue long sleeve shirt and he was also wearing a pair of shades that he took off shortly. Fans who had been patiently waiting were extremely excited as I was. Buju performed favorites from "Love Sponge" to "Mr. Nine", from "Destiny to" Driver "A". just to name a few. He pulled music from his extensive large catalogue of songs and performed until two in the morning. It was a pleasure attending this concert and
I loved every minute of the show and all the artists.
Buju Banton and the Shiloh Band, Gramps Morgan, Angel Shalowe and Nikki Burt thank you.
