HOME	Plastered beginnings --The Story of Plastered Everywhere It was late in the summer of 2002 when veteran guitarist Shaft Johnson and heroin-addict-wannabe Curtis Blow decided it was too hard to get a date without being in a band. They soon found themselves in Johnson's living room, with a guitar, a bass, and enough alcohol to kill a small family of dwarfs. Twenty-two beers later, the duo recorded their first single, "Lawn Maintenance Girl," an emotional yet peculiar ballad that tells the tale of a somewhat masculine female landscaper and her introverted teenage admirer. LMG captured the fat, edgy licks of Blow and the graspable tenderness of Johnson, and eventually caught the attention of offbeat wop drummer Jimmy Legs. Legs was looking to "get rid" of his current band members and "convince" Shaft and Curtis to hire him. Not that Legs is the type of guy who would hurt people, but, well, sometimes people get hurt. But no number of stitches could keep this trio from rocking the foundations of some of Tampa's finest live music clubs. Bumming free beers and enraging sound techs, Plastered Everywhere has entertained tens of people across the area with music they can listen to and humor they can't figure out. In the words of Jimmy Legs: "sometimes the envelope's a little light and you gotta go take somebody for a ride - gotta do whatchya gotta do, you know what I'm sayin'? Don't print that.	Music
