Kevin's Fabulous Missouri Mansion
Hey everyone,
I have been promising to send Bret pics of my house for a long time. I finally got them taken.
The camera takes crappy pictures, but you can get an idea, however. The camera is so bad, in fact, that it wouldn't take pics in my
bedroom because the lighting was too low, even with all the lights and flash on. I told you it sucks. (c:
Well here they are with a short description with each. Hope you enjoy them.

This is the view of my kitchen from the dining area. My cabinet color is called bright cherry.
I stained all the wood in the house this color.
|
|
This is the other view of the kitchen. Yes that is a trash compactor. I hate carrying out the garbage.
|
|
This is the dining area. Couldn't take a pic with the blinds open. Too much glare. It looks out onto the lake.
You cant see the table really well, but it is a square farm table that I bought unfinished. I stained it to match the cabinets. The bar area in the foreground has turned out to be VERY cool for the
kitchen. We do most of the serving and prep work there.

Another view of the dining area.

|
Obviously the laundry room.

Here is the living room from the dining area. Above the fireplace is my TV and stereo system. The
chaise lounge in the left of the picture is my favorite place in the house. (c: The hallway on the right is pretty cool. You can't see it in the pictures, but it is actually octagonal
/ oblong-ish.

Picture of my couch and the entryway.

A shot of the living room from the entryway. Again with the closed blinds. Glare issues.
|
|
Beams in the ceiling. We distressed them and only gave them one coat of polyurithane (sp) to make
them look like they are old, reclaimed beams that you see in spendy houses. They are actually freshly cut, inexpensive (relatively speaking) lumber.

Master bathroom. That is a lighter on the sink. Like a big dork, I left it there after I lit the candles on the tub. To the right
of the tub is a gia-huge-ic shower. It is a 4' X 3.5' shower. It's even big enough to accomodate me! (c:

|
Pic of the vanity in the master bathroom. To the left is an door-enclosed toilet. As you can see in the mirror, I am there
taking a picture from the master closet. It is a 12' X 6' walk-in. It is really cool to have a place to store all my crap. (c:

This is a view off of my patio of the west end of the lake. In lake toward the right of the picture you can see one of the
fountains on the lake. They operate through the spring summer and most of the fall.
|
|
Here is a pic of the back of my house. Mom planted a bunch of crap that you have to weed right next to the patio under
the large window. I'm going to extend the patio out next summer to go all the way to the side of the master bath on the left. Screw weeding!

|
Here is a pic of the front of the house. Mostly grass, almost weeding-free, evergreen flowerbeds.
