First, you must wonder what's up with this whole "melody of david" thing. Well, this is the story: See....my dad's name is David and when my mom was pregnant with me she was looking for an M name for a girl. Being one of Jehovah's Witnesses and a regular Bible reader, she was looking through the book of Psalms and saw "a melody of David", thought Melody is a nice name and so....the rest is history!

Like my parents and the majority of my a congregation in Brooklyn, NY. I've been baptized for 7 years and it's my whole way of life. It gives my life meaning and substance and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you have any questions about Jehovah's Witnesses or would like a free home Bible study please feel free to look at the link above or you can email me.

So what would you like to know about me? Let's see......I was born in 1980 (do the math), I'm a native New Yorker (born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens). Unfortunately, I currently work as a receptionist (for the last 5 years!!)but what I really want to do is massage therapy. That happens to be the longest running goal I have had (2 years). Before that I wanted to be an archaeologist, journalist, composer, ballerina and marine biologist. All before I was 15. But now I'm focusing on massage therapy and hope to fulfill that dream some day. I also love to write (online journal) but I don't do it as much as I used to. I wish I had more time for it. I also love photography and traveling which in my case goes hand in hand as thats when I take the most pictures.

I LOVE history, especially the era of the 40's. If I could go back in time, THAT is where I would go. I grew up on music and movie from back then and I absolutely love it! If you want a taste rent Guys and Dolls and you'll see what I mean! I'm fascinated by the history of NYC, especially the immigration aspect of it. I'm very into the history of Egypt as well. Growing up I had stacks and stacks of National Geographic magazines in my room, especially if they contained anything about Egpypt in them. Other cultures fascinate me, the way they live and how it works for them. I guess growing up in NYC contributed greatly to that! This is the biggest melting pot, believe me!

I absolutely LIVE to dance.Must be the latin in me.....on second thought could be the irish too. Oh yes, Im half puerto rican and half irish. That could explain a lot later on so keep that in mind!!! Back to dancing....I love all kinds! From salsa to swing, from hip hop to reggae. That means I also love all kinds of music. Believe it or not I have quite an extentsive LP collection with the record player to go with it!!! But my fave LP's would have to be Nat King Cole, Louie Prima, Tommy Dorsey and Glen Miller. Dont even dare to call yourself a swing kid if you havent heard of any of these guys!!!I alsolike to sing (but doesnt everyone, doesn't mean we all can! ).

Reading is also one of my favorite past times. I love mostly classic books with The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas as being my favorite. That book is amazing!!! DONT just watch the movie, people, read the books! They are usually MUCH better! Another amazing book is Roots by Alex Haley. I think it could definitely change your perspective on life! To me, that is one of the greatest things about reading....its opens up doors to others ideas and ways of thinking. Of course that could be a dangerous thing as well. But I try to follow what the Bible states about using my perceptive powers of reasonings to make sure what I read is healthy for me. And of course reading the Bible, you cant go wrong!

Ok, that enough jabbering from me for now...check out the rest of my page!!!! And do me a fave and let me know you stopped by.....sign the guestbook!!
