- (1/13/03, 8:34 PM) Well, I certainly haven't updated this in a while. Well anyway, we have figured one thing out. IF YOU LISTEN TO HARDCORE MUSIC ALL THE TIME, YOUR MUSIC TURNS TO HARDCORE. We just wrote two hardcore songs in the past week. One is called Faceless Memory, and the other is yet to be lyricized. Its really cool writing hardcore music...buts its really tough. Oh yeah, Channing and I have kinda switched places. I play guitar now and Channing plays bass cause i know more hardcore stuff than him. Music is fun when you can make it!!
- (10/27/02, 7:19 PM) Practice went well on Friday, we got some structure to a couple of new songs...they sound good. We scrapped Love...Never To Be Loved cause it just didnt click, but we replaced it with a great song, so we are still kicking. Me(Jon) and Bob are in the process of professionalizing the whole site....pretty soon all of it will look like this page....YEAH!!! Medal for Merit has official gotten serious. We are now starting to form a
more definite practice schedule, and we are getting more into song
writing. We have two songs at the moment that we can play from start to
finish. They are called "Love...never to be Loved," and
"Last Mistake." You can check out the lyrics over on the songs
page. Bob wrote the lyrics for "Love....Never to Be Loved" and I
wrote "Last Mistake" they are both good songs...You should go give
them a look - (10/14/02, 7:58 PM) DUDE!!!....this weekend kicked...we wrote three new songs...all of them are spectacular. The one we have lyrics for is so great....its called "Cost Benefit Analysis" Head over to the songs page to read the lyrics. We have kinda strayed away from our original plan of really hardcore screamy stuff...although we are holding strong with some tight punk infused rock. Casey is taking charge man....he is actually telling us to shut up if we are talking too much...even though he is telling me to shut up im happy, it lets us know that all the doubt we had in how motivated he was were for nothing. WE LOVE YOU K....C....haha i told him he should start spelling his name like that...for his stage name. Anyway...peace peps....have a wonderful day.
