BomBShell Management Presents

Straight out of the Dirty South (Da Bottom) comes ZAY whose retrospective lyrics of the trials and tribulations of growing up in “da bottom” have taken him center stage, which is where he continues to shine. LIL’ ZAY began his career as a dancer for the legendary Uncle Al, the infamous Luther “Luke” Campbell and finally the R&B singing sensation, J-Shin (Top 10 Atlantic Recording artist). His hunger for the spotlight and youthful enthusiasm gained him a spot as Trick Daddy’s hype man. The crowd’s enthusiasm made LIL’ ZAY realize that he should be the artist and not just a hype man. His previous affiliation with Luke evolved into LIL’ ZAY being signed as a recording artist to Luke Records. This marriage proved to be brief, as LIL’ ZAY realized that he needed a label with a more hands on approach and one that would allow him to spread his wings as an artist. He found that in upstart label, Xela Entertainment. Now all grown up and known as just ZAY and with production by Funk Boogie (Trina, Trick Daddy, Slip-n-Slide All Stars), and Lil’ Jon, as well as cameos by Smoke of MCA recording group Field Mob and Kamikaze (formerly of Crooked Lettez), to name a few, there is a high anticipation for ZAY’s debut release “Who Dat Is” which is scheduled to be released in 2004. With the success of ZAY’s double sided single, “Fire/4 Eva Ballin”, ZAY was nominated for “Best New Artist” at the first annual “Miami Music Awards” in 2003. With his show-stopping performance, good looks and versatile lyrics, ZAY is definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with. So get ready ZAY is coming straight outta da bottom rising to the top.
