ABOUT KERRY
Kerry's Music

Kerry began playing piano at the age of nine in Yagoona, Sydney, NSW Australia. He initially studied clasical piano at the Sydney Conservatorium .

Later Kerry moved to Wooloogong where he continued his tuition under reknowned pianist tutor Adrian Holland.

There came a point in time during his period of training that he decided he wanted to change his style and R&R took his liking , with disbelief his teacher Adrian told him he would have to get another teacher. Kerry realized that Adrian was very disappointed in him but was shocked to hear that Adrian had died of a heart attack on the train trip back to Sydney from Woolongong after Kerry's last lesson.

Kerry went on to learn R&R and dance band music and teamed up with a brass four piece group which included ---------- Buchanan on Trumpet and the group played around many hotels and clubs in the Wooloogong area playing Herb Albert music as it came of the charts from the USA.

Later Kerry headed of to New Zealand on holidays and on arriving in Queenstown in the south island was offered a job where he learnt the bar trade including cocktail mixing and waiter service, he carried on to create the first cabaret band in the south island at O'Connells Hotel.

Kerry met his wife to be at O'Connells Hotel who was japanese and came from Adelaide who he later followed back to Adelaide and married and had two sons Brenton who is a musician and Jason who is a hotel manager. Kerry spent 24 years working in the paint industry in sales and manufacturing with music always his first love and second income.

Adelaide was good to Kerry and he was fortunate to play in some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants including Adelaide Festival Theatre, Adelaide Casino, Adelaide International Hotel, Captain Cook Cruises, Northgate House, West Lakes Palace and The Terrace.

Later Kerry moved to Queensland where he played at the Kedron Wavell Services Club for 12 months followed by 18 months at Seagulls Club, Spargo's Restaurant and presently is about to embark on P&O's cruise ship "Pacific Sky" as a cocktail pianist. Kerry has for the last three years been employed by Watabe\Avica Japanese weddings during the day.

Kerry's love of music is obvious to anyone that sits and listens to him play, he has a style all of his own and has the ability to draw you into his world of music. Kerry has just completed his second CD, both are available through this website.
