My name is Kristen Spade,
I'm an 18yr. old freshmen at the University of Maryland, College Park.
GO TERPS :-) I am an Elementary
Education major with a focus in Literature, and I am pursuing a citation in Musical Studies. Lots
to do in the next 4, maybe 5, years lol! I actually had to make this webpage for my university class :-P Coming from Frederick
County, Maryland, UMCP is not far from home, and I get the chance to visit
family and friends, as well as have them visit me here! Hint Hint --
come visit me LOL! I graduated from Middletown
High School as Valedictorian -- though there were about 18 of
us awarded that honor hehe. In high school I played clarinet in
the Marching Knights band, concert band, pit orchestra, I was also Drum
Major my last two years (a huge accomplishment for me and a life long dream!),
and I was also in concert choir. So music has been crucial
in my life over the years....seeing how I've played clarinet since 5th
grade, and even learned basics of paino :-) My musical interests
carried through to college. I am now a proud member of the MIGHTY SOUND OF MARYLAND Marching Band,
and the Terps Basketball Pep Band. It's been awesome, and
I'm looking forward to the next few years. I've met a lot of great
people so far! The Peach Bowl
was awesome, cheering on my TERPS and ringing in 2003
in Atlanta,GA. And the basketbal team is keeping up their incredible
reputation too. (for the most part hehe). I love Nik, Drew, and Ryan! Heck! I love 'em all :-) Outside of school I love to dance! Whether
it be the occassional swing dance/ballroom dance lesson or the nights at
a local club, the dancefloor is one of my favorite places. I also like to hang out with my friends of course and just be myself.
And who can forget those days of just drinking some Starbuck's Chai
Tea, listening and singing along to my electic music collection ;-)
