MARCH 2014

Hey everybody! Thanks so much for stopping by my site. Here's a quick update on some recent and upcoming activity. I started out the year with a performance in Malaga, Spain with Los Straitjackets. From there it was off to New York City for a performance with the fabulous Eleni Mandell at the Mercury Lounge. We were celebrating the release of her record Let's Fly A Kite, out now on YepRoc Records. We recorded the record in London last year with Neil Brockbank and Robert Treherne producing. Nick Lowe's fantastic band, including Geraint Watkins, Matt Radford, Martin Winning, Kate St. John, Angie Pollock & Matt Holland all contributed to the project. I will be performing with Eleni at the South by Southwest convention in Austin to promote the record. I've got lots of stuff in the works this year, including a Hi-Risers single, a solo EP to follow up On Your Side, a new Los Straitjackets record, an instrumental project and a few other collaborations i will be announcing soon! Of course, i will be touring too, mainly with Los Straitjackets.

If you haven't already, please pick up a copy of my first solo record, On Your Side! It contains 12 original songs, many written with my longtime collaborators Nick Crews, John DeAngelis and Allyson Bice. I was joined by my longtime musical partner in The Hi-Risers, Todd Bradley, who played bass and drums and helped with the arrangements and mixes. Gussy Popp, one of my favorite singers, sang back up on two songs. Three songs were recorded in London with the fabulous team of Neil Brockbank, Geraint Watkins, Robert Treherne, Matt Radford, Angie Pollock and Sterling Roswell. Chris Charles designed the cover and Jim Chapdelaine mastered the record. I'm very proud of it and it's available at the store link on the homepage. Thanks to all of you who have already ordered it and those of you who came to the release party in my hometown, Rochester, NY. I truly appreciate it!

For fun i've put together a podcast called Jukebox Jazz & Instrumental Sounds. It's 30 minutes of music and you can hear it at my new Soundcloud page. Here is a link:

Be sure to check out these sites! Thanks everybody! The Hi-Risers site, and MySpace site.
