THE BAND


AFI have been together since ’91. Formed in Ukiah, California, they started out by making noise in a garage in their spare time and playing local gigs. At first, they adopted a more fun, Offspringy sound. Over the years, they have evolved into the hardcore wicked funky goth-punks we know and love!
Their sound has changed with every album as they have matured, especially their new album, Sing The Sorrow. Opening track Miseria Cantare and Death of Seasons (my favourite!) are beautifully textured and make use of a whole range of instruments. Death of Seasons even brings us a rare “AFI go techno” moment. Magnificent…
I love each of the current band members for the following reasons:

· Davey is just plain hot

This site is dedicated to my favourite thing, Davey Havok. If you added up all the other things I cared for, my love for them could never rival my love for Davey!
This is kinda sad because I’ve never met him, but if he actually feels all the shit he writes then he is very perfect. J

As well as writing the most awesome lyrics, he really cares for his fans and really appreciates them. I’m forever reading quotes of his saying how much our support means to him, which makes me love him even more because he doesn’t come across at all
Diva-ish. He gives us music and we give him our dedication, which works a whole bunch better than worshipping someone who’s not prepared to give the time of day.

And Oh. My. God. He’s got to be the only dude in the whole world who can pull off the skintight white cat suit look! Perfection… J. Anyway, he’s such a sweetie and ignored all the he-bitches at his college calling him a fag. It’s like, who cares? He’s what you want him to be!

I’m not going to go into details, but finding AFI has really helped me- it’s like being in love x a million! My clingy Aquarian nature tells me that if I ever perchance upon davey, jade, hunter or adam I’d probably superglue myself to them or something obsessively creepy like that! It would be the most amazing thing in the world if I could meet them, and tell them how much I love them, although I’m sure they hear it like a million times a day.

One day I will be a good friend to each of them, and I’ll be the best damn friend ever! I may even marry that davey boy- who knows?! But for now, I’ll continue to mold myself into the female version of him (next chapter: the piercing) and collect their entire back catalogue until I know everything about them. And of course build this website so I can share my favourite pics with everyone! Happy Davey Viewing!
