His musical career as a rockmaker started in the late 70's with bands that never got to be known. In the late 80s and 90s, his guitar playing was one of the most influential in Cuba and brought the electric guitar playing closer to what was being done by guitarists like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Michael Hedges and Allan Holdsworth. The sound of this master of rock and fusion guitar can be heard in Arte Vivo records and Sintesis' "Ancestros II".
