DONNA THE ARTIST
Personally, this was a good year for Donna.
Her Art Work was being
displayed
and sold like crazy!
ANOTHER PLACE AND TIME album recorded:
Donna was shopping around for Producers.
David Geffen has not been very supportive of Donna's efforts and is pressuring her to record an album with a clear direction.
Donna's current favorite is Rick Astley.
She loves his voice and looks beyond to the Producer's (Stock Aiken Waterman) other works (Bananarama) and desides to call on them.
The team is busy, but wants to work with Donna......One condition, She must come to their turf.
Geffen reluctantly agrees.
Donna travels to England to record
with SAW.
Donna took her daughters with her.
It turned out to be a fun filled vacation for them.
Donna only writes a couple of songs the first few days and gives total control to SAW and just comes
into the studio to lay down vocal tracks
whenever they can track her down.
It was all about shopping & polo matches!
Donna learns to
let go (don't sweat the small stuff).
Geffin hates the album and drops Donna!
