You obviously know my name by now, so that's something I can skip. I've been living in Kalamazoo Michigan for about two years now. I lived in Las Vegas Nevada for eight years before that. I started spinning records in 1999, but it wasn't until 2000 that I became really good enough to throw down at partys. I started out on Progressive Trance, then I moved into Hard House. Along the way I have experienced spinning different genres such as Drum 'n' Bass, Breaks, HappyCore, Hardcore, and House. I currently am getting back into Progressive Trance as well as Hard Trance. I will occasionally throw down some UK Hardhouse, but am trying really hard to keep it primarily Trance.

In the fall of 2001, I released my first demo CD entitled, Dj Phuse "Mass Phusion". Most people know me by my DJ name "Phuse", but in the recent weeks, I have decided to use my real and legal name. This decision came about after I seeked information on trademarking my DJ name. Knowing that there are probably thousands of DJ's in the U.S. using "Phuse" spinning in their basements and at Raves, using my real name seemed like the smarter thing to do. On the plus side, I don't need to get any kind of trademark on it if I ever decide to use it commercially.

My new Demo CD entitled, Derek Seph "Exhileration", will be released on MAY 17, 2003, at an up and coming party called, "Recess". This party will be held somewhere in West Michigan.

I am currently working on a project CD with my friend that is "supposed to be" released this summer, if all things go correctly. The CD will contain tracks written, engineered, and produced by me. My friend and I will be hitting up a studio so that he can lay out MC vocals for some of the CD. I haven't decided on the name of the CD, nor have I finalized any of the song names. I only have four complete tracks, and one in the making. When the CD is complete, it will contain twelve original tracks. Most will say thats not much, but creating twelve original tracks isn't the easiest thing to do.
