Artist description
A name carved throughout Allentown, PA, the three mainstays of Cutting Edge add a fourth member in an attempt to put their unique style and flowing talent in to the world of mainstream music, etching their name in the annals of music history. Formally a power trio, Cutting Edge adds Mike Schuon into the mix to support the incredible guitar playing of the man many have called the second coming of Slash himself, Ray Stopa, raw vocals of Ian Riccaboni, and precision drumming of Mike Picht. Although once attempting to revive hair metal through cover songs, Cutting Edge now finds themselves gearing toward original songs in hopes of garnering exposure and success. Riccaboni says "I play because it's fun, but I don't mind seeing the name 'Cutting Edge' up in the lights either, knowing I am in it." Stopa replies with, "We have a lot of emotion in our songs, but please don't take our lyrics that seriously. We love to play, and we hope that everyone at our shows has an excellent time, and that they can go home with a smile on their face knowing that they have seen the future of rock play right infront of them." Mike Picht and Mike Schuon declined comment. Ian agrees with Ray "Music was my first love, and we hope you can see it through our music, but we don't want you to look into it too hard though. We just want people to have a good time listening to our music." Cutting Edge is kicking into high gear with over 11 new original songs that can be found soon on their debut album, "On the Edge".
