What's New...
Welcome to cpowellonline! Each
month I try to post new songs in the media section. Most of
these songs are covers from some of my favorite artists, most
notably, the Dave Matthews Band.
All of the songs posted on
this site were recorded in a friends basement recording studio.
All of these songs were also recorded in a "live" setting,
meaning the guitar was miked up and I just recorded the song on
one track. The vocals were not recorded separate from the
guitar. On the songs that have a lead guitar part, my friend
Deuce Towe played along. After posting these songs I listen to
them over a period of time and critiqued myself, then each month
I record the ones I don't like again to make them better as well
as record new songs I have learned. This helps me to play these
songs better and put my own flair on them. So, enjoy and keep
