Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps Drumline

The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps is from Canton, Ohio. The Bluecoats are a member of Drum Corp International (DCI) and Drum Corp Midwest (DCM). The drumline typically consists of 8 snares, 5 tenors, 5 basses, 5 cymbals, and 10 in the pit. The corp has auditions in November each fall, and has monthly camps during the winter months to prepare for the summer tour. During one summer, the corps 135 marching members will each spend nearly 1000 hours in rehearsal for the 10 minute average performance. The entire corps spends over 70 hours learning and rehearsing each minute of the show. The corps performs approximately 40 times during the season for a total of seven hours of actual performance time. DCI is one of the greatest youth organizations in the world, and is described by some as the greatest thing they have ever done with their life. I have created this site dedicated to The Bluecoats Drumline so I can post pictures, music and member information over time. After attending the November camp, I can say I am officially a member of the drumline. I will be marching 5th bass drum for the 2003 show. As soon as I find out what the show is entitled and what songs are in the show, I will update the page. The next camp is December 20-22, and I can't wait. Hope to see you this summer at a football stadium near you!
