Eleanor's Brownie

Based on "Eleanor Rigby" (1964)
New lyrics written Friday, May 16, 2003 @ 3:54 p.m.

Ah, look at all the hungry people!
Ah, look at all the hungry people!

Eleanor's brownie
sits on the plate as it waits 'til she comes in today,
ready to play.
Open a window
letting the smell of a brownie alert her it's done,
giving her one.

All the hungry people, living on the street.
All the hungry people, would die for what you eat.

Father's in city,
feeding the birds on a park bench all by himself.
There's no-one else.
Look at him tossing,
crumbly crumbs to the birds as they peck at the bits.
Resting, he sits.

All the hungry people...
...what you eat.

Ah, look at all the hungry people!
Ah, look at all the hungry people!

Eleanor's brownie
never got ate as it sat in the plate overnight,
so taking a bite
is highly unlikely.
Father will use it to break up and feed to the birds.
Nothing is hurt.

All the hungry people...
...what you eat.
