“Anna” Kevin exclaimed as he flung the door open. She fell into his arms, tears flowing down her face. “What’s wrong?” Kevin shrugged as A.J. pulled her to his chest and sat down on the couch. “Annie, whats the matter with you, sweetie? Please stop crying.” She wiped her eyes and sat up looking at him.
“Nick and I fought. I love Nick with all of my heart but he thinks that I’m cheating on him and I’m not but he dosen’t believe me and I can’t keep on living like this!” Anna broke down into another fit of tears. A.J. puller her head down onto his chest again and leaned back onto the couch. Laying his head on top of hears and kissing it. She clutched his shirt in her hands “Why dosen’t he believe me?! Why dosen’t he trust me?” “I don’t know, Annie, I don’t know” Kevin walked around the corner to answer the ringing phone. He knew that A.J. was preoccupied. “Hello?”
“Kevin, is Annabelle there?” Nick asked. Kevin glanced around the corner at A.J. and Anna. “Yea, she is, Nick, but she’s really upset. She needed someone to talk to and she came to us.” “US?!” Nick retorted “Yea right, Kev! She went to A.J. and you know it! God, I was so stupid I should have never believed what she said! Can I talk to her? NO, better yet, I’ll go and get her, I’ll be there in a second.” Nick started to hang up the phone but Kevin caught his attention. “Nick, wait!” Kevin paused “Now you’ve really hurt her this time. She’s over her crying her eyes out because she trusts A.J. and I and were not going to let you come and get her. I’M not going to let you come and get her tonight. Let her stay stay here tonight and you can come get her in the morning!” Scilence fell over the line for a few moments.
“Your right, Kev.” Nick agreed with him. “Man, I miss her already. I’ll see you in the morning.” They hung up the phone as Kevin walked into the other room to find A.J. propped aginst the arm of the couch with Anna still lying on his chest. He rubbed her back as she drifted off to sleep.
Hey, Kev. Where’s Anna at?” Kevin opened the door a little wider so Nick could step inside. Anna stood off of the couch as Nick enveloped her in a huge hug, kissing her forehead. “I’m so sorry baby.” She broke away and walked towards the door. “Anna, baby, I really am sorry……baby you’ll never have to worry about that again.” He pleaded with her as he hurried to open her car door, but she had already slid through and closed the door just before he got there. Nick hung his head and walked around to the drivers side. He cranked the car and they drove home in scilence.
“Daddy, where’s mommy?” Ashton asked. “She’ll be home in a little while.” Brian said, kissing her on the head as she turned and walked to her play room.
She’s not answering her phone. Nick isn’t answering his phone either and I haven’t seen her since he asked her to go over there last night.” Brian explained to Howie and Sara. “I don’t know” Sara stated “We haven’t seen her since you guys left A.J. and Kevin’s last night.” Brian ran his eyes across all o the family pictures and wedding portraits on the wall thinking of how beautiful she looked in each one. He reached over grabbing the phone dialing Nick’s umber again. “Hey man! I’m glad I finally got a hold of you!” Howie and Sara listened to Brian’s end of the conversation. “Is Rachel still there?.. Oh… She’s not? … At 1:20? Oh… Okay… Yea man…Bye.” Brian hung up the phone apprehensively and sank into the chair beside the phone.
