Taconic High School presents Titanic, the Musical

"A human metropolis...a complete civilization! Sleek! And fast! At once a poem - and the perfection - of physical engineering!"

The story of Titanic has fascinated audiences since it disappeared beaneath the waves on that tragic April night in 1912. This "unsinkable" ship and human drama of the struggle of it's passengers and crew have resulted in many books, movies, and now, an award-winning musical. Titanic, the Musical was winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Score.

Dates: May 10th, 11th, 17th, 19th 2002, at 7:30 pm

Titanic Trivia:
1. First class passengers could enjoy a gymnasium, swimming pool, squash raquet courts, and Turkish Bath.
2. According to eye witness reports, Titanic's iceberg was 50 to 100 feet high and 200 to 400 feet long. It was tall enough to leave ice chunks on Titanic's upper decks.
3. Provisions for the passengers and crew included 75,000 lbs of fresh meat, 7,000 heads of lettuce, 40 tons of potatos, 1,500 gallons of milk, 36,000 oranges, and 20,000 bottles of beer, and stout.
