Story: Stereo360 Review
This four-piece out of the city of angels rocks it out in the pop-rock style of Everclear and Filter. Stereo 360 isn't for everyone. If you are a metal/hardcore type person, you might not even want to read on, even though I think you should. These guys have a lighthearted sound that is well played. Although they might not pour out as much intensity as some of us are used to, these guys still are worth a listen.
The vocals (Shad Hills) are very similar to Everclear especially on 'Plastecine'. The lyrics are very pop friendly and are something that could easily go over with the MTV crowd.
Shad also lends his hands to guitar playing along with Luis Galdames. Their combined efforts stay true to the pop rock sound this band possesses. The bass playing duties by Trevor Zimmerman contain a little Flea influence from RHCP. Lastly, the drumming duties for the band are handled by Moon.
This band, as I mentioned before are very pop rockish. There's no other way of putting it. It's not that they're terrible, because they're not. It's just not the kind of stuff you listen to when you're trying to stir your emotions. Stereo 360 has a simple sound, but that is pop rock.
These guys have the potential to be big stars across the pop radio, and have a good chance of getting on MTV, they just might not have a chance to make it into your cd player if you are a hard rock fan. Be on the lookout for these guys, either if you aren't a fan of pop rock, because you're going to hear more from Stereo 360.

Stereo 360 // Stereo 360 EP // (BPR Music Corp.)
Sounds a lot like Urge Overkill's major label albums--punchy, crunchy, loud and tuneful. I liked those discs and wondered why the kiddies didn't go wild. But then, my favorite albums rarely sell more than 1,000 copies.
So maybe it's not such a good thing that I really like Stereo 360. Too bad. These boys know how to play power pop (perhaps that's why their web site is http://www.kingsofpop.com), and they do it very well.
It is very hard to carry through on a ragged edge and still manage to have gorgeous harmonies. Stereo 360 does it without blinking. Yes, this stuff is ready for the big leagues (the production is brassy, though not too glossy), but that doesn't mean it's dull. Just shined up for the masses.
And I can't complain about the results.

Story: :: Recorded Reviews - Stereo 360 ::
I am in two minds with this CD - half of me quite likes it...no let me re-phrase that, half of me doesn't mind it! The other half of me has heard it all before and would be fairly non-committal in recommending it to anyone else.
I am to begin with a little unsure why I am reviewing a band who are based in the US and have about as many Leeds connections as... something that doesn't have any!! Still I have been sent this CD and therefore I will review it.
The sparkling production and the quality of the musicianship and songwriting is hard to ignore. The general song composition sounds to me as if it has been firmly produced in the hands of an expert and all the tricks you've heard before but can't put your finger on are there. And here lies the problem - as good as this is, it lacks any real soul - kind of like Matchbox 20 (shudder) does pop punk. These tracks would probably just miss Radio 1's play list but sit more than comfortably on Virgin. The songs are all catchy upbeat and when played in the background have a nice vibe. But would I play this over and over and shout it out from the rooftops? Probably not, because it means very little to me. Would I dance to it with my bottle of alchopop at the indie disco? Yup! So is this not the nature of throwaway pop I hear you ask? And the answer is yes.
Opener Vaseline mouth is good so is track 2, track 3 and track 4 - all good, formulaic stuff. In fairness track 4 - Superstar with its repetitive verses does the most to break the mould and is really the only one I can hum after 8 plays.
I don't doubt Stereo 360 have a potentially huge audience in the states and indeed here. But they are a too polished for a Blink 182 and to raw for a Ryan Adams (choke) and sitting uncomfortably in between may well be their downfall.
7/10 or 4/10 depending on your mood.

This band has all the potential to reach the same levels of mass acceptance as Offspring, 311, etc. They are undeniably one of the best and most prepared acts I've heard come about in some time. If I were programming today, I would add them to my rotation if I were programming a CHR / Alt-Rock station.
What keeps bands like this from succeeding is nothing more than money and promotion. I have heard hundreds of GREAT bands fail simply because there was not enough money in the coffers to promote them effectively.
Is your band good? Yes. Can they be commercially successful? Yes. Are they the next Cheap Trick? Maybe. Only time and commercial success can truly tell. The recordings I listened to are as good as anything I've heard ... are they the next Strokes? Could be. It seems that the times are recycling and good solid guitar driven music is once again making a dent on the youth market.

Title: Self-Titled Four Song EP
Genre: Rock-Pop-Alternative
Label: Independent
Website: www.KingsofPop.com or www.VasolineHeads.com
I received this four song EP with the expectation of it being a real rocker. With a name like Stereo 360 what would you think? Well they didn’t disappoint. I usually shake my head with disdain when a group sends something other than a full length project. It can be difficult to get a good overview of a group’s sound with just a handful of songs. Nevertheless this EP served its purpose for me.
Stereo 360 is a good rockin’ alternative-rock-pop band with a lot of potential. The vocals reminded me of the group The Outfield with a coarser sound. They have an ability to get across a song that can rock hard with some pop like vocals that seem to fit like a glove. The best track hands down was the fourth, ‘Superstar.’ There was some nice guitar and bass work with quick changes that made it an up and down rock roll ride.
This was a fun listen. I hope to hear more from these guys real soon.

Story: STEREO 360 review
All we've got is a 4 track cd, a link to the bands official website and that's it. So we're not wasting time talkin' about who's exactly behind STEREO 360 or where the band's from. Let's talk about the main thing - the music. You'll find 4 songs on this record and we're gonna do this one song by song: First song is VASOLINE MOUTH, a BLINK 182 pop-punk-rock song. Nice catchy tune. Next one is called SICK OF YOU... this one is melodic'n catchy, too. Then PLASTICINE - Well, I wonder why I do this record track by track! Every song is BLINK-rock-punk-pop stuff, except SUPERSTAR, where the band put more punk into the song. There are thousands of these BLINK 182 clones out there. Some are good, but most of them aren't worth a buck. I'm glad to say that STEREO 360 is a better than 70 percent of all these clones. There are only 4 tracks on this demo, also the production is just average, but you can see that the band is able to create straight songs with a good melody line & a catchy chorus. If you like BLINK 182 you probably like STEREO 360. It's just a clone, but they're ok.

Comments: Shad: "I can't tell if this guy likes us or not. LOL Please go and visit his site. Anyone who gives us their time to review our music is okay in our books!!! And by the way, some of our reviews differ so much from one review to the next. I would really like to see some of you submit a review. Warts and all. Have no fear of being critical. If we don't get critical reviews, then I'll never have enough material to wallpaper my "wall of shame" or fame depending on how you look at it, with critical reviews.

Story: STEREO 360 - review - Hoochy Zine
Stereo 360, the self proclaimed 'Kings of Pop', are four-piece band from Los Angeles, who by the way, seriously rock! Their main object is to "tour until they drop and produce albums that slap you in the face and leave a red mark". They describe their sound as today, but with a vibe of yester-year," Stereo 360 have been compared to Oleander, Blink 182 and Sum 41 (hence the sound of today!) and although they do have that kind of pop-punk feel to them, the 4th track, Superstar, has a Dandy Warhols sound to it, which gives the CD more of an Indie-Rock edge. Quite a different sound to The Cars, and Blondie which they site as two of their major inspirations.
What's good about Stereo 360 is that even though all 4 tracks on this CD have the same style, all the songs seem to sound different from each other. They each have an individual feel without being too different, and yet each are catchy, energetic and very likeable, infact, they are extremely loveable!
As part of a worldwide publicity venture, CD's have been sent to radio stations and magazines not only in America but also in the UK. The Radio 1 Rock Show, Virgin Radio, Kerrang!, NME, and Metal Hammer have all received them, (not to mention hOOchy*!) and with TBA Entertainment Management (one of the most elite and prestigious artist management companies in the world) managing them how could they fail not to make it? Add to this their experience (some members of the band have supported Matchbox 20, Foo Fighters and Creed), and they have the beginnings of a committed and loyal fanbase, (25,000 people worldwide have joined their mailing list and numerous Stereo 360 fansites have been launched), they certainly have the beginning of a committed fanbase and enough experience to make it.

Check out the latest and greatest Rock n Roll band. Los Angeles' Stereo 360 - Members of this band have toured with MATCHBOX TWENTY, FOO FIGHTERS, STABBING WESTWARD,CREED, WALLFLOWERS, CHEAP TRICK, FUEL and more! This band is one of the hottest bands to come out of Los Angeles in years! (taken from e-mail campaign! all i can say is... cheesy)
The songs i have heard from this band are good, great melodic vocals and some good riffs. This band would probably be considered as post punk. their bid to become big is a little big headed to say the least, but still the music is good. the best rock and roll band in years!?! hmm Los Angeles is a big hot spot for good bands so i say SHUT IT! they even have banners to put on your site! LOL! check them out anyway though!
Their very impressive site is at http://www.kingsofpop.com and has many good features.
Check out the songs 'sick of you' and 'vasoline mouth' they are very good!

Story: STEREO 360 Review
Stereo 360 is in the same vein as Oleander, Sum 41, Blink 90210, and many of those other bands with numbers in their name. You almost need a degree in accounting to keep track of the names, but at least the music is pretty good. The music on this demo is a modern pop/rock style that has all of the same qualities of the bands listed above. Their music is very pop sensible, and contains great hooks and melodies that stick in the listener's head. The music is less of a punk oriented style and more of a modern pop/rock thing. There's a quality to this music that I don't hear from many independent bands, which tells me this band is definitely ready to depart from what's left of the scene they belong to. Though there are only four songs on this demo, not one of them disappoint. The music is primed and ready for a shot at the big leagues.

Maybe rock and roll isn’t as boring as I tend to bitch about. These guys (who, from the looks of their web-site may be trying to field a better band name?!) sent me this two song prize a few weeks ago and I must say, "Vasoline Mouth" is about as sweet a rockroll platter as I have laid ears on in some time. The second cut, "Sick of You" is damn fine also, but its hard to live up to the near perfection of its predecessor. Fuck, you know what, rock and roll doesn’t have to suck…maybe it’s just that most of the people who claim to be playing rock and roll nowadays suck. These cats, under whatever moniker they settle for, are keeping the thread of faith I have for the form alive. - KV
