Let's Go Mets! MAY 26 - HOME GAME #25 vs Philadelphia Phillies (19-28)

Jacob deGrom (5-4) looks to continue his 23 straight batters retired streak against the Phil's Jerome Williams (3-4).

26-21

Lets Go Mets! In a walk off win, Wilmer Flores roped a slider over shortstop to drive in the winning run. Wilmer also tied the game in the 8th with a sacrifice fly. Jacob deGrom's streak ended abruptly as the Phillies Ben Revere singled off deGrom to start the game. He threw five scoreless innings before leaving with two runners on that eventually scored. deGrom owns a 1.56 ERA in 17 career starts at home, the best by any pitcher in the last two years.

Nice seats in the upper deck

My stomach was still barking at me as I tried to sleep in. Once I got up and about, I took Dan to the airport around 1pm for his flight home. When I got to the ballpark I had a couple of carnitas tacos that tasted so darn good, well I had hardly ate in two days since Wendy's in Pennsylvania. I wandered through the upper deck concourse, taking some pictures and enjoying the cool breeze. When the 10th inning rally started I was joined by Cowbell Man and we tried to fire up the remaining crowd. You can hear him banging the cowbell in my video below as the Mets won in extra innings. I've tried to capture the walk off wins on my camera (two so far).
