And the Revolution was just for cash...

Update

10/28/03:  Ok, people. For those of you who are still with us, here's the deal: Jared and Dylan are about to head out west for their year off at Mammoth Mountain and Denny and Colin hitting the books, college style.  No fear, though, for those of you with patience, we will be putting out a album....next summer.  That's a while, but we'll be mostly doing it for ourselves to record all the good songs from our one album, and all the good songs we never took into the studio.  The recording is going to be the way we want it; it's going to kick some ass.  So, while we're basically broken up, were gettin back together between April and October to push out a "Best of"  for all you two devoted fans out there.  We cant wait, and if there's one thing to say about the life of this band is: it was fun.

5/23/03:  Forget the last message...were going into the studio.  Expect a awesome album...we are.  Not sure if were going to get any shows before the summer.  Keep checkin back though.

5/10/03:   We're probibly not going to go to the studio to record the next album.  We just got a nice digital recorder, and the sound is better than the over processed music the studio trip left us with.  We've fucked around with it some, and the songs will sound good on this.  Not as "professional", but definatly MUCH cleaner than any of the recordings we've got in the garage ourselves, and it fits our style nicely.  Will be posting MP3's of finished songs soon so you all can hear what to be expecting.

5/2/03:  Yeah...we're not going to be playing the Flatstreet of the Palladium show, for different reasons.  Also, the CD isn't  out yet, we are waiting about a month to go in, so it will be out in a month, about the same time we break up because of summer.  It'll be good, so come back later on and check to see if its out.

3/31/03:   Good news, we are going into the studio two weeks from now.  We have more than fifteen new songs, plus we've redone most the old ones, and got rid of the rest (solitude, walking wounded) cause we dont like em.  This CD is going to far exceed the last, and seeing as it might be our last full album before we part our ways from highschool, you wanna pick it up while you can. were making a note of it to gt the distortion right, so the guitar and bass dont sound so bubbily as they did on the last album.  (were going to try and make them sound as Germs esque as possible).

Um...check out shows section, ect, ect.  Thats all.

3/24/03:  Okay, we've updated the shows section.  Also, check out our new section dedicated to the idiot who wrote our kickass review below here.

3/18/03:   Show.  Show.  Show.  Check them out in the shows section.

"Who’s next?" –Me "Second *inaudible word*" – Molly "Second Grade?" – Me "Second Rate!" – Molly "Oh, I thought you said Second Grade. I was waiting for them to get up there and teach me to multiply, divide and write cursive." –Me

3/13/03:   Check out this kickass review:

I’m going to write what I think about this band in Ebonics. Don’t get offended. I’m black, I just paint myself white. Where these niggas be from? What these niggas play like? They be playin’ like a mothah fucking’ riot. You want singin’. Ain’t be happenin’ homeslice. There ain’t be no singing’ up in hea’. Sizzle iz jizzle and fizzle. You heard me, homeboy. Ah, who am I kidding? I’m not fluent enough in Ebonics to talk about anything like this. *Rolls pant leg up and wanders into downtown Southwick.* The bass player keeps playing a repetitive few notes over and over again. Maybe that’s what good bass players do. My real gripe seems to be the way that just the bass player’s annoying me. The notes from his bass are louder than the other two instruments. They make my heart fall into my shoe. What do some singers not play anything? This guy should be playing an instrument. Don’t tell me that it’s too hard. That’s just another excuse for sucking. Lame. "I want to be able to focus on the singing." They don’t interact with the crowd. They’re playing for themselves and maybe the old people. Jesus. The drummer from Def Lepard could out drum this band’s drummer with one arm tied behind his back. The kid’s only playing the drums every so often. You know that INSERT DEF LEPARD’S DRUMMER’S NAME HERE could play this shit with no legs either. [Referring to the singer] He’s not singing! He’s chanting! He wants you to join his cult. If I could understand what he was rambling, I might just be hooked. You lose more potential cult members with inconsistencies in quality pronunciation. I heard "Come on, take a sip." He wants me to drink the cult juice. I shall only for the sake of escaping. Feedback brings me out of the trance. Every song sounds the same. I Am Disaster was ten times better that this band, but that’s only for a lack of yams. Maybe this "singer" is rapping. No hypothesis could explain this bands factor of bad. It just got worse after the first song. Five people clapped for them. I wasn’t one of them. I bet it was their mommies.

12/23/02:   Joe Strummer has died; we are all very upset here.  The greatest rock legend ever to have lived is now gone,  music as we know it today owes him everything.

12/08/02:  Alright, we haven't updated in a while, basically because nothin has been going on.  We have a ass-load of new songs, which will be on our new CD coming out sometime in spring '03, but we wont have recordings of them until then, so there's some motivation to come to our shows, where we will be playing them.  We have a Battle of the Bands coming up on the fourteenth of this month, tickets are 8 bucks, and a ticket and a CD is 10 bucks (awesome deal), and its at Pearl Street (check shows section).  We also just played the lamest show we ever have and ever will.  There was a good 70+ people there, but they all sat down 20 feet away from the stage.  So much for shows at school.

Also, I've just added a links page.  Small for now, but I'm sure there will be more later on.

10/24/02:  Shows section updated again, with new show were playing in at Pearl Street Night Club, Just a normal punk show with many other punk bands.  8 Bucks, check out shows sections for details. COME TO OUR SHOW

10/24/02:  The 'Shows' section is now updated...

Also, Little Sammy is number 21 on the Mp3.com garage charts today, so check that out for sure, and keep it movin up! We are currently looking for shows, particurlaly for halloween, but new will be up as soon as we get more info on that. Our mp3.com website, www.mp3.com/secondratepunkrock, has had a facelift; 6 songs are available insted of all 16 (so there will be motivation for you guys to get a cd). So check that out, and keep comin back.

9/29/02:  If you missed the show at flat street last night, you missed out big. FUZBUNI rocked the house. They played with so much energy and got the crowd worked up for us. check them out at www.fuzbuni.8m.com After Fuzbuni finished their set, and we were all set up, we had our roadie mr. jacob cutone work the crowd and he gave a great introduction. We played really well, I think. The crowd was into it, jumping and bouncing all over the place. We'll have a new live section up on the website soon w/ audio and video from our shows (and of course, this one). When we were done w/ our set we left the crowd to our friends, Sense of Stupidity (SOS). They rocked out w/ Greenday, Black Sabbith/Ozzy, and Metallica covers, plus original material. It was a great show and everyone left feeling great.

9/26/02:  Alright, Posted Plastic Currency up on the audio page, so listen to that too.  Will add Godzilla later on, to have a total of 2 new and 2 old songs.  Check back for that.  Also,  our new mp3.com site is almost running.  Its at www.mp3.com/secondratepunkrock  With streaming audio of all the songs off the CD.  That'll be up in about 2 weeks.  And lastly, our show is tomorrow, so if you live in the Brattleboro area, come check it out.

9/22/02:  Greater news, I put up one old song and one new song that we recorded today, Infamous Youth and the never before hear song Not on Halloween!  There is no reason why you should still be reading this, go now and listen.

9/22/02:  Great News. We went into the recording studio today and were there from 10a.m until 7p.m. and yes, you guessed it, our CD is fully recorded and ready for our fans. The new recordings are amazing, they sound nothing like the shit that was up before. We'll have a few tracks up in the audio section within 24hrs. If you want a full length CD (17 tracks) e-mail us and let us know

9/18/02:  We now know who were playing with on the 28th, Fuzbuni and Sense of Stupidity.  Check out the shows section for more info on that show.  Also, were only 4 days away from the release date of our CD, so check out the CD order page for a small discount off the already low price.

9/14/O2: The whole page has been redone.  Check it out.  Also, come to our show on the 28th and buy a CD.

9/12/02: Alright, we've got the page (kind of) up again.  We lost all the updates.  Oh well.  You still have time to preorder the CD, so go do that, and check out what shows we have coming up.  Basically everything you want to know is on the left frame.  All the songs are gone excluding the covers, and will be until we put out the CD on the 22ed.
