A New-Model Ford on a Risky Track

EARBORN, Mich. — IN the lobby of Ford Motor's corporate headquarters here, there's a countdown clock that, at one moment this morning, read 260 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. That's how long William Clay Ford Jr. has to right his great-grandfather's company before its centennial on June 16.

Unsigned music for the masses

Radio giant Clear Channel launched an online service to give new and promising artists a place to showcase their music.

The Web site, called the New Music Network, will allow unsigned artists to post samples of their music for free. The company plans to promote the service on its radio stations and other entertainment properties.
