CT-aacPlus
1. Features
CT-aacPlus™ (formerly known as AAC+SBR) is the combination of MPEG's
state-of-the-art audio codec AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) with Coding Technologies'
revolutionary SBR™ (Spectral Band Replication) technology. SBR introduces
a new paradigm into audio coding and helps to improve the efficiency of
standard perceptual codecs like mp3 or AAC by more than 30%, as evidenced
by independent evaluations. As a result CT-aacPlus delivers digital audio
broadcasting quality at or even below 48 kbps for stereo signals. With high
quality audio at such low bit rates a lot of applications become economically
feasible or vast

The listener's experience of radio has migrated from scratchy AM to richer
FM, and satellite digital radio is next on the horizon. Our technology
enables audio streams to be neurally processed in real-time before broadcast.
It works as a black-box solution, inserted into the audio chain.
