Purged. was formed in the late summer of 2000 when founding members Eric Kirk and Jason Boggs met at Dry Creek Camp in Dry Creek, LA. After talking and discussing ideas for a few hours Jason and Eric decided to meet at Jason's church and practice some music. Jason then invited friend Kris Harper to join and they began practicing and writing music. Purged. soon began playing local gigs at youth rallies and festivals. After almost 2 years of playing with a different drummer every gig, Eric invited Tristan Pendergrass to join the band as their first permanent drummer.
