This was taken June 16th, 2001 at the Ryman Audtiorium. It was during Fan Fair and she did a Matinee Opry at the Ryman. My friends Molly, Steve and Sue all met me at the Ryman and we waited for our girl:) Steve and Sue went in and Molly and I stayed outside for what seemed like forever lol. Patty arrvived not too long before she had to be onstage, so she promised she would sign on her way out, but she made sure to say HI to me and Molly before she went in. She was sooooo surprised to see us there together. (Shes not used to that lol). She signed afterwards but the poor girl was swarmed. Kinda ticked me off...some of those people that swarmed her didnt even have ONE of her cds!
This was taken August 18, 2001 at Executive Inn in Owensboro,KY. I had met her before the show to give her a gift, but that was it. After the show, we stuck around to watch her sign backstage. I was sitting there crying (it really irritates me when people who dont really even KNOW who she is or is too DRUNK to remember meeting her, get to go backstage)and she looked up and waved to me. She had finished signing and got up and walked through this tunnel like thing and I started bawling and told my mom she was gone. We turned around to leave and I hear someone say "She does have a plane to catch, but she will stay a few extra minutes"..and when I turned around it was Todd (her TOTALLY cool road manager) and PATTY!! I about had a heart attack! When I knelt down to give her a hug she told me "I wouldnt ever leave you crying like that!". It made my night, and made the trip TOTALLY worthwhile!
