Nashville,TN (Fan Fair)

June 7, 2003

Patty started this five song set out in the same fashion as Renfro Valley- by humming. (I have always absolutely LOVED to hear her hum, so it was another amazing experience for me) She once again opened the show with the new song "Nothing Like Lonely". If this is a taste of what the new album will sound like, we are all in for an amazing treat. Patty never ceases to amaze me- I thought her voice was much stronger at fan fair than it had been at Renfro Valley. She then kicked into "You Can Feel Bad", which I was happy to see the crowd singing along to! She gained MUCH crowd response, which was wonderful to see. Her band consisted of the same as Renfro Valley: Deanie Richardson, Becky Priest, Martin Parker, Jedd Hughes, Travis Toy, Jimmy Johnson, and the gentleman on guitar that I still cannot remember the name of. Being it was fan fair, Patty did not have the opportunity to introduce all of the band members. She then went into "Don't Toss Us Away",which she dedicated to Tony Brown (who is recovering from a head injury), and she positively nailed it. She NEVER flawed, not one time.

She then kicked into "Lovin All Night", in which Rodney Crowell came out to sing with her. The crowd adored the song, and Patty sounded amazing. You could just see how much fun she was having on stage, she was dancing and carrying on with Rodney. She then closed the show with as usual, an awesome rendition of "Blame it On Your Heart".
