My Ali Noor and Noori fan page
I’ve
been a major fan of Ali Noor for some while now, since his days in Coven and of
his Polo album (!). Now I am eagerly looking forward to his Noori project. Manwa
Re, Mujhe Roko,
Ooncha
have been excellent tasters and revelations to me. A friend of a friend of a
friend tells me that he has tens of better songs already down. I can hardly
wait.I have even managed to get a few treasures out of his trove and make them
available at this site.
For the uninitiated, a recap: Noori as you might know has now grown to three in
number. Initially it was Ali Noor and his kid brother Ali Hamza who made up the
band. Hamza went off to
LUMS
to study and Mohammad Ali Jafri, Ali Noor’s partner in crime from Coven, has now
come in on bass and to help out with production. On drums initially, Salman
Albert from Entity was drawn in, but he went back to Entity and now Farhad
Humayun has come in for beat-keeping duties.
Anyways. It always bothered me that there has been a dearth of Noori or Ali Noor
websites on the net: he is already a huge star and deserves a site to my mind.
It is strange that for someone who claim

to be up with computers and the net, Ali Noor does not have a good website up of
the web. What I could find, I have put in in the media section.
